Established in 2011, the Asia-Pacific Institute of Information Technology and Innovation (APIITI) was founded in response to the rapid digital transformation and technological revolution sweeping across the Asia-Pacific region. The early 21st century witnessed an unprecedented convergence of information technology (IT) and innovative practices, reshaping economies, industries, and societies. Yet, the region faced critical challenges—including fragmented technological ecosystems, a growing skills gap, and the need for sustainable, inclusive innovation—that demanded coordinated action.
